The consortium ensures the united management of the complex of ecosystems, thus guaranteeing the preservation and the valorization of environmental, natural, historical and cultural resources. It also promotes social fruition, scientific research and environmental didactic as well as the development of eco-compatible economical activities, and those in the traditional, agropastoral, agricultural, touristic, and artisanal of sectors.

In particular, it protects communities’ civic uses and real rights while regulating forest interventions, agricultural and zootechnical activities. The consortium also manages works for the preservation of the soil and regulates hunting according to the current norms.
